THE 3 TYPES OF PEOPLE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

 

In the world we live today, social media has so become part and parcle of our lives, we live in a world so close to each other, or what we call a global village, where we can relate with each other even without seeing, feeling or even touching each other to communicate, share and interact.

The social media space has broken many jinx, linked up people of various race, tribe and color, it has strengthened bonds, inginite wars and created rooms of either a vice or virtue, depending on what niche you so desire and long in this space.

In summary there are 3 types of people in this space, who contribute, showcase and act or react in ways I can categorise as ( Idiots, Tribalist and Citizens) some people will either fall in one or more or even the three depending on the circumstances of discussion or topic as the case may be.

The idiots, these are people who are careless in their chats, comments and display, they are believed to say whatever they want to say, how they want to say it and don't give a hoot how others feel and they can go on and on  insulting, causing commotions and pour out any type of venom to prove a point which is either baseless or standing in their way, these set of people are always waiting to steer up troubles and constantly see that people feel bad on this space.

The Tribalist, these set of people are those who are more concerned about their race, their people, their color, their country, their language their culture and their way of life, anyone who says anything contrary to their opinions, they fight them tooth and nail, rather than educating them to be well informed, they take such avenues to rubbish a person or throw tantrums to expose ignorance, such set of people can protect their image but the manner at which they indulge most times is not acceptable.

The citizens, these set of people are those considered to be well informed, people who weigh their options before commenting , posting and even sharing any information.

If it is not pure, holy, the truth and well researched they won't comment and whenever they do they are backed with insight, handy informations, research and integrity.

If when they are at fault, they easily ask for forgiveness, they are quick to ignore and forgive also, they help many who are in want for information by leading them into the right sources, they are not selfish nor greedy, they are always ready to help and take time to explain in details.

These set of people are consistent , supplying answers and wants to see everyone wins in the quest of information , they are not Tribalistic or filled with rage, you can hardly see them use profane words, they are very careful with words and as such they command lots of respect and sincerity, people are always wanting and waiting for their own opinions in any given trend, hype or topic.

Personally, the social media space has impacted positively and negatively to the lives of many, it is a personal experience, it is left for individuals to chose to be where they want to be and make impacts in their domains.

The recent monetiization, has led to and brought about different types of content, people do and say different types of things to either gain followers and as such you wonder why we reduce ourselves to such. Anyways find your space in this place and know where you belong.

Social media doesn't forget, it is in your best interest to be intensional about what you say, type, comment, post and share, it might stand against you tomorrow or promote you, be conscious the world keeps records.
